Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials is a company specializing in copper foil cladding (CCL). CCL is a core material for electronic circuit boards (PCBs) and acts as an insulator on the PCB. CCL is needed in all fields where substrates are mounted, such as smartphones, electronics, home appliances, and servers. Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials overwhelmingly maintains the number 1 spot in market share in the domestic and overseas PCB CCL field. Since last year, major substrate companies such as Samsung Electro-Mechanics, LG Innotek, Daeduck Electronics, Korea Circuit, and Simmtech have made large-scale investments which made the demand for CCL increase significantly. It is known that most of these companies use Doosan CCL materials. Doosan Corporation Electro-Materials is also building a new growth engine by significantly expanding its CCL portfolio. The company has developed various types of CCLs, including 5G antenna modules and microelectromechanical system oscillators. The 5G antenna module is a key component of the 5G wireless repeater on which beamforming antenna technology is used. By using beamforming antenna technology, it is possible to minimize signal interference between users and improve communication quality by transmitting 5G signals in a the desired direction. The oscillator is a component that generates internal signal frequencies such as in electronic devices and communication systems. The MEMS oscillator developed by Doosan is attracting attention as a product that applies microfabrication technology in the semiconductor manufacturing process.
