Dale Ralph Elshoff was born in Troy, Ohio on March 13, 1949. He married Sharon (Davis) Elshoff on April 14, 1978, in Columbus, Ohio and had two children and one grandson. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary; father, Orlando; and grand-dog, Mugsy. He received a kidney transplant on April 5, 2000. He is survived by wife, Sharon; daughter, Denise; son, Gregory; grandson, Dayton; dog, Cricket; cousins, Marilyn and Gary Tanger; cousin, Larry Elshoff, extended families of Tanger and Elshoff; Karen and Jeff Gray, Ronald Davis and extended family; all his friends, in particular Ken Morris, Art Towslee, Dave Pelaez, and his ham radio and amateur tv buddies. Dale's entire career, he worked at ABB and became the top engineering technician in his department. Dale received his ham radio license and became known as WB8CJW. He was an active member of Amateur Television In Central Ohio (ATCO), American Radio Relay League (ARRL), and the Central Ohio Amateur Repeater Group (CORG). Dale was a major player and a driving force in building and operating VHF, UHF and Microwave modules. Dale, led the way for ground breaking new technologies as it relates to Ham Radio. His family will miss his silly sense of humor and hearing him start his day howling with his dog, Cricket. He enjoyed being a hands-on engineering technician for his ham radio group, and often listened to The Beatles and ELO while working on his hobby. Dale would like to acknowledge the Cleveland Clinic Transplant Center and the wonderful care he received by Dr. Kevin Schroeder, Dr. Jacob Conklin, Dr. Nse Ntukidem, and all the doctors and nurses that crossed his path.
